Step-by-step guides to building apps with Nutshell

Part 3: Editing Users

In Nutshell, Users can either be edited individually or in-bulk. This tutorial covers both methods. You should complete the opening tutorials in this series: Part 1: Viewing Users and Part 2: Creating Users first, to familiarise yourself with Nutshell’s User management tools and the various fields and settings belonging to each User.

Editing Users Individually

Begin by logging into Nutshell as an Admin and opening the User Management panel. Click once on the User you’d like to edit. You’ll see some basic information about that User appear in the right-hand column, along with a few extra buttons at the bottom of the screen.

Amongst these extra buttons, you’ll find one labelled Edit User. Click on this button to open the User’s account. You’ll be taken to the Edit User form, pre-populated with the selected User’s information.

If you’ve followed Part 2: Creating Users, you’ll already be familiar with most of the settings on this screen. The only new option on this screen is the Send Security Questions Email button, which simply re-sends the automated email that asks the User to set their security questions.
