Detailed explanations of every feature and function in NutshellJump to…
When working with particularly complex workflows, it’s not always practical to draw links from one screen to another. Perhaps they’re at opposite ends of the workflow, or lots of screens link back to a single point. In these instances, the Jump to… component comes in very handy.

The Jump to… component acts as a shortcut to other areas of your workflow
The Jump to… component is a shortcut to another part of the workflow; like a magic transportation device that lets you jump to any other part of your workflow without creating a tangle of lines across the Canvas.
Creating a Jump to…
Start with two screens on the Canvas; let’s call them screen A and screen B. Make sure screen A has a button on it.

Screens A and B with a standard link from one to the other
Drag the Jump to… component onto the Canvas from the Essentials tool bar. Where you would normally draw a link from screen A to screen B, draw a link from screen A to the Jump to… component instead.

Jump to… allows you to jump to another screen without drawing a direct link to it
Select the Jump to… component. In the Properties panel, you’ll find a Destination option. Click the Choose… button and select screen B when you’re prompted to choose the destination.

The destination of a Jump to… component is set in the Properties Panel
Now, preview your app; when you click the button on screen A, you should jump straight to screen B as though you’d linked them directly.
Jump to… Properties
When a Jump to… component is selected on the Canvas, the following settings are available in the Properties panel:
Basic Settings | |
---|---|
Label | An optional name, that appears on the Canvas, so that it’s clear at a glance where it links to. When you’ve chosen your destination, this label is pre-populated for you, but you can change it to whatever you like. |
Destination | The screen (or other component) you’d like to go to next in the workflow. When you click the Choose… button, you’ll be asked to select which screen or component in your workflow you’d like to jump to. |
