Detailed explanations of every feature and function in NutshellCalendar
The Calendar component allows you to automatically insert an appointment into the end-user’s default Calendar application. To add a Calendar component to your workflow, drag it from the Device tool bar onto your Canvas and link it up.

The Calendar component adds an appointment to the end-user’s default calendar app
Most of the fields for the Calendar component are in the Properties panel, but the Notes field – a description of the event – can be edited on the Canvas itself. Double-click the Calendar component or click the Edit Appointment Content button in the Properties panel to edit it.

You can add plain-text notes to your appointment
Inserting Data
You can insert dynamic data into the appointment Notes. What do we mean by dynamic data? Dynamic data is content that changes based on something your end-user does, or data stored in your Nutshell database.

Easily insert data from form-fields and variables into your appointment notes
For example; imagine that your appointment is a meeting, and the agenda will change depending on who the recipient is – in this instance, you can dynamically insert the agenda at run-time from a database record.
Calendar Properties
When a Calendar component is selected on the Canvas, the following settings are available in the Properties panel:
Basic Settings | |

From | A Date/Time value; when the event begins. This can be typed by hand in the Properties panel, or populated dynamically at run-time from a variable or form field elsewhere in the workflow. |
To | A Date/Time value; when the event ends. This can be typed by hand in the Properties panel, or populated dynamically at run-time from a variable or form field elsewhere in the workflow. |
Title | The name of the event as it will appear in the end-user’s calendar application – e.g. “Important Meeting”. This can be typed by hand in the Properties panel, or populated dynamically at run-time from a variable or form field elsewhere in the workflow. |
Location | Where the event will take place – e.g. “Board Room”. This can be typed by hand in the Properties panel, or populated dynamically at run-time from a variable or form field elsewhere in the workflow. |
